REVIEWS:

We drove over to Coronado as part of our visit to San Diego, drove down to this beach and were turning around to head back since we were getting close to the Mexican border. Nice parking area with beach access. Enjoyed the sunset and wading in the beach. Saw campgrounds and folks having a bonfire on the beach. Looked like it would be a fun place for groups and families.

A very wide open beach looking out to the ocean, great for digging for clams, especially the larger longboat variety. Lots of sand and plenty of places to picnic, BBQ, or just sit and relax. Restroom facilities close by and lots of parking (state maintained so there's a small fee for it). A fun place to spend the afternoon if you are looking for wide open beach and ocean

It's a little out of the tourist way which is so nice! The beach is clean and costs $10 for parking. I saw my little bro play beach soccer here and the sand and beach are all well kept. If you want a beach with out tourists go there. There will be locals but it is still way better than mission and finding a nice place to sit.
