Lots to see and experience in this section of San Diego. Short walk from the train, Petco Field, Convention center and other sites. Great eating. Wide array of options from upscale Nobu to more sports bars/Starbucks/Hard Rock. Good hotel options in the neighborhood as well. Of course you have to take the iconic picture of the arch over the street.
I love this area of SD. Chock full of shops, eateries and drinkeries. (I have a special affinity for drinkeries). I have meandered around the area quite a bit during my visits, most of which were unfortunately business related, (as opposed to pleasure). However, this last trip was just that, pleasure, so I was able to take in the sights, especially because I wasn't driving.
Fantastic area to walk around, so some shopping and get a bite to eat, either breakfast, lunch or dinner.
